PPG Foundation continues tradition of support

Since 2017, PPG has consistently supported our mission to educate and inspire students to dream big and explore the opportunities of STEM careers by providing programming support and annual scholarships to Aviation Challenge. Without PPG’s assistance many children from under-resourced communities would not be able to attend this life changing immersive STEM program. Thank you, PPG, for your unwavering dedication and support, you truly make an impact.

The Daniel Foundation of Alabama awards $150,000 grant for Rocket Park

The Daniel Foundation generously provided a challenge grant of $150,000 to support the completion of the redesigned Rocket Park. Their partnership and dedicated three-year commitment will enable the Rocket Center to provide immersive STEM education opportunities to more students in Alabama and globally, in a setting that showcases the state’s historic role in space exploration. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation’s success is due to our partnerships, thank you Daniel Foundation of Alabama.

Foundations support Space Camp program for the visually impaired

For more than 30 years students have come from across the U.S. and the world to SCIVIS (Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students), a program that immerses visually impaired students in STEM activities. The long-standing annual support from the Teubert Charitable Trust Foundation and the Delta Gamma Foundation have contributed to the program’s success and growth, making it possible for children with visual impairments to experience Space Camp. This program held each fall breaks down barriers for visually impaired children by exposing them to high-tech careers and successful professionals with visual impairments, fostering their belief in pursuing diverse career paths and envisioning themselves in careers they may not have thought possible. Thank you for your dedication to our mission, we would not be successful without you!

Meta funds mobile device charging stations

Meta provided a grant of $15,000 through their Data Center Community Action Grant program to purchase secure, lockable, multi-device phone and tablet charging stations for Space Camp’s Habitats. The modern charging stations will enable students participating in Space Camp’s immersive stem programs to remain connected with their family and community. We thank Meta’s Huntsville Data Center, for their continued support of Space Camp’s stem programs!

Toyota Funds Kits for Space Camp Robotics Program

Toyota awarded a grant of $11,000 for the purchase of Vex Robotics Classroom Kits to enhance and upgrade Space Camp’s Robotics Interactive STEM Curriculum. We thank Toyota for their continued partnership and recognize the lasting impact their contribution will have on the robotics program.
