Gifts of any amount are welcome for the general scholarship endowed fund. An endowed scholarship made in memory or tribute can be established with a gift of $38,000. The USSRC Education Foundation may use the annual interest earned and take up to 4.5 percent of the principal to fund a scholarship each year.
If a donor pays the entire minimum amount of $38,000 initially, the scholarship is fully endowed and the USSRC Education Foundation will grant a scholarship annually, even if the minimum increases in subsequent years.
If a donor elects to start an account and pay installments over three years, the minimum amount may increase due to market conditions. In this case, the amount to endow will be the average during the payment period. The donor must initially pay fifty percent of the initial minimum, if taking this option.
