Simple Bequest
I give and bequeath to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, a nonprofit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Alabama and located at Huntsville, Alabama, the sum of $________ (or specifically described property, securities, etc.), as an unrestricted gift to be used for the general purposes of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
Bequest to Unrestricted Endowment
I give and bequeath to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, a nonprofit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Alabama and located at Huntsville, Alabama, $_______ (or specifically described property, securities, etc.), to be added to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation’s general endowment. This gift shall become part of U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation’s permanent endowment and may be combined for investment purposes with other funds. Distribution shall be computed in accordance with U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation’s policy for endowment spending and shall be used for the general purposes of U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation.
Bequest for a Designated Purpose
I give and bequeath to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, a nonprofit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Alabama and located at Huntsville, Alabama, the sum of $___________ (or specifically described property, securities, etc.). I have executed (or intend to execute) a Gift Agreement with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, which will detail the specified use of my gift. Any such Gift Agreement may be revised or revoked at any time prior to my death, and the use of the funds given to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation shall be governed by the Gift Agreement executed most recently prior to my death. Should there be no such Gift Agreement at the time of my death, or if I have revoked it in writing, then all sums given to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation shall be an unrestricted gift for the general purposes of U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation.
Bequest of Residuary Estate
All the rest, residue and remainder (or a specified percentage) of my estate, both real and personal property of whatever kind and wheresoever situated, which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my death, I give, devise and bequeath to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, a nonprofit corporation duly existing under the laws of the State of Alabama and located at Huntsville, Alabama, to be used for the general purposes of U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation (or for a specific purpose as set forth in a separate Gift Agreement).
Where a bequest is unrestricted as to use, the donor may wish to include the following language permitting U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation to publicize the gift and to memorialize it with a suitable naming opportunity.
Recognition and Naming Opportunities
I give the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation permission to publicize the receipt of this gift from my estate through the usual means, such as by magazine, newsletters, media releases and electronic media, including social media. I request the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation memorialize this gift through an appropriate naming opportunity commensurate with the amount of the gift based upon the guidelines in effect at the time of receipt of the gift. If such naming opportunity is available, I request that it be in the name(s) of _________ in the memorial inscription or named endowment.
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation is a tax-exempt corporation under subsection 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All gifts to U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation are approved charitable deductions according to the schedules established by the IRS code and regulations.
