President & CEO Huntsville Utilities

Wes Kelley serves as President and CEO of Huntsville Utilities, a position he has held since 2017, making him only the fifth CEO in the organization’s seven-decade history. Under his leadership, Huntsville Utilities provides electric service to over 200,000 customers, water to more than 100,000, and natural gas to 56,000 customers in Huntsville and Madison County, making it the 17th largest publicly-owned utility in the nation.

Kelley graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Before joining Huntsville Utilities, he led Columbia Power & Water Systems and Pulaski Electric System in Tennessee. Kelley has received national recognition, including the Mark Crisson Leadership and Managerial Excellence Award from the American Public Power Association, which honors managers who lead their organizations to new levels of excellence. He actively serves his community on the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Commission and on the boards of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
