“Through these doors walk the world’s future astronauts, scientists, engineers and leaders.” Or so goes one of the signs located in the Space Camp® Habitat at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center® in Huntsville, Alabama. Since its establishment in 1982, hundreds of thousands of students and adults have come to Space Camp to live out their dreams and aspirations of being a part of human space exploration. For some of these Alumni, it is a fondly remembered week of education, fun and friends; for others, it has become a symbol, a badge of pride embodying the spirit of curiosity and inspiration.
The Space Camp Alumni Association (SCAA) is a world-wide community for Space Camp, Aviation Challenge, Space Camp Robotics, and many other Space Camp program graduates, who believe that their mission did not end once they earned their wings. The SCAA, working together with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation, seeks to support Space Camp through advocating for space-STEM education, celebrating our community’s accomplishments, engaging alumni to do good in their communities, and keeping alumni up-to-date with news and events from Space Camp.
