Movie Night Under the Stars
Join us for a special Movie Under the Stars featuring the classic film “Space Camp”! This family-friendly event is a perfect opportunity for alumni and community members to gather under the stars and enjoy a beloved movie at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
If you’re looking for things to do in Huntsville this summer, this event will be a great way to spend the evening at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Space Camp Alumni and their families are welcome to attend, as well as members from the local Huntsville region.
Movie Under the Stars Details
- Date: June 22, 2024
- Gates Open: 6 pm, food trucks will have food and beverage available for purchase!
- Space Trivia: 7 pm
- Showtime: “Space Camp” the movie begins at sundown. Don’t forget to bring your lawnchairs or blankets to set up your viewing area on the lawn! There will also be blankets for sale. Food trucks will be onsite to purchase food and beverage.

About the Movie
“Space Camp” is a thrilling adventure that tells the story of a group of teenagers attending a summer camp at NASA, who accidentally find themselves launched into space. This exciting film captures the wonder of space exploration and the spirit of teamwork and perseverance.
What to Bring
- Blankets and Lawn Chairs: Make yourself comfortable on the lawn.
- Flashlight: Helpful for navigating in the dark.

Weekend Information
Join us this summer in Huntsville for the annual Alumni Reunion Weekend! This weekend brings together alumni of Space Camp programs and their families for a trip back to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center to celebrate achievements, connect with old friends, and meet new ones!
Friday June 21 will include the Space Camp Hall of Fame dinner, honoring five new inductees to the Space Camp Hall of Fame. Then on Saturday June 22, Space Camp Alumni will gather for an Alumni Town Hall, Alumni Lunch, activities of your choice across the campus, and a special movie night showing of “Space Camp” the movie!
Space Camp Alumni include all programs of Space Camp, Aviation Challenge, U.S. Cyber Camp, Robotics Camp, and adult programs. Former counselors and Space Camp employees are also included in the alumni family!
If you’re looking for something fun to do in Huntsville, the movie night under the stars is the perfect time to see a unique side of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center after dark! We will be watching the movie in the new Rocket Park area. So reserve your ticket, grab a blanket and chairs, and we will see you on the lawn at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for a Space Camp Alumni special evening of fun that is sure to be a highlight of your summer activities!
