
Ms. Kathi Tew
Kathi Tew serves as the COO and CFO of the Baron Critical Weather Institute (Institute), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Alabama that is dedicated to providing world-class weather instrumentation for public safety, educational outreach, and economic development. Recognizing the significance of STEM opportunities for students of all ages, the Institute has developed partnerships with the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) and Cullman High School, which offer essential technical support to our innovate Weather Instrumentation Systems as the Institute works to establish a statewide “WeatherNet."
The Institute recently opened a $2 million exhibit titled "How We Know the Weather” at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. This exhibit features over thirty educational interactive displays and live feeds from NASA, fostering the next generation of innovators and thinkers who will advance scientific discovery and public safety in weather forecasting.
Kathi is a proud graduate of Momentum and Leadership Greater Huntsville. She actively participates on several community boards and has successfully chaired over forty-five fundraisers in the past fifteen years, supporting various organizations in Huntsville that make a positive difference in people's lives.
